Masonic Home Shelbyville Named Best of Kentucky in Nursing and Rehabilitation

Shelbyville, KY (Dec. 13, 2023) – On Thursday, Nov. 29, the Kentucky Association of Health Care Facilities/Kentucky Center for Assisted Living (KAHCF/KCAL) honored the top long-term care facilities in Kentucky at their quality awards banquet. Masonic Home Shelbyville was honored to be a part of this elite group of leaders in the industry.

“There has never been a more important time to honor our nursing facilities and their staff. The “We are honored to recognize these deserving providers at the top of their class,” said KAHCF/KCAL Interim President Ruby Jo Lubarsky. “During a tumultuous time of staffing shortages, our providers have faced these challenges with innovation and positivity. Each winner and their team have kept their residents’ quality of life at the heart of their work.”

The Best of Kentucky – Nursing and Rehabilitation honorees must possess a Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) star rating of four or higher to apply. Masonic’s Shelbyville Campus received the highest rating of 5-star by CMS.

“As a long-time recipient of the Best of Kentucky award, we are honored to remain among the best of the best,” said Masonic Home Shelbyville Executive Director and Administrator Janie Cunningham. “This type of honor is a direct reflection on the wonderful caregivers and staff who are dedicated to providing our residents and patients with quality, compassionate care.”

In addition, two Masonic Home Shelbyville employees received Professional Achievement awards including:

  • Client Services Director Sally Garcia —Supportive Care Award
  • Certified Medical Technician Deborah Murphy —Caregiver Award
