Masonic U provides attendees with clarity and confidence as they plan for the realities of retirement and aging care. Over two days on our Louisville Campus, trusted experts cut through confusion to deliver reliable facts, practical insights, and trusted resources that help you make informed decisions. We are excited to welcome featured speaker, the nation’s foremost expert on Solo Aging, Sara Zeff Geber, Ph.D., CRC. Author and certified retirement coach, Dr. Geber was named an “Influencer in Aging” by PBS’ Next Avenue and is a regular contributor to Forbes.com.

DAY 1: Wednesday, March 25 at the Artisan Room located in Meadow Active Lifestyle Community
- 10 am: Retirement Essentials for Solo Agers – Dr. Sara Geber – The featured keynote will share expertise on how individuals without traditional family support can approach retirement planning with confidence and intention. She will discuss planning for the next chapter, building social networks, and creating a life of meaning, purpose and fun.
- 11 am: Campus Tour – See all Masonic Homes Kentucky’s Louisville Campus has to offer on a guided bus tour.
- 11:45 am: Life Care Learning and Lunch – Senior Vice President of Sales Brent Bayes – Long-term care costs are the largest and least predictable for aging adults. Brent will explain how Life Care is a risk management strategy for the
future, offering estate protection, priority access to higher care at reduced costs in one single, comprehensive plan. - 1:15 pm: Meadow Active Lifestyle Community Walking Tour
- 2:15 pm: Supervisor Roundtable – Community Department Supervisors – Hear directly from the people who bring the daily living experience to life in our independent living communities. Get a behind-the-scenes perspective from our dining services, housekeeping and maintenance supervisors.
DAY 2: Thursday, March 26 at The Multipurpose Room in Sam Swope Care Center
- 10 am: Understanding Levels of Care – Former Assisted Living and Personal Care Leader Jade Goble – Learn about the benefits of a Continuing Care Retirement Community, what levels of care are offered in Kentucky and how the appropriate level of care is determined.
- 11 am: Crescent Grove Memory & Personal Care and Sam Swope Care Center Walking Tour
- Noon: Executive Director Roundtable and Lunch –Gain useful insight and perspectives on the higher levels of care offered on our campus from Crescent Grove Memory & Personal Care Executive Director & Administrator Tanita Steen, Grove Pointe Assisted Living Executive Director Aaron Jones and Sam Swope Care Center Executive Director & Administrator David Brown.
- 1 pm: Grove Pointe Assisted Living Community Walking Tour
