Leading by Example
Charisma and gusto are two words that perfectly describe Molley Rickets, founder of Incipio Workforce Solutions, and title sponsor and chair of the Incipio Gilded Gala benefiting Sproutlings Pediatric Day Care & Preschool. Her visionary leadership has filled rooms, increased donor participation and elevated community-wide visibility to a cause that has transformed the lives for so many children and their parents. And, she does it all while having fun.
Molley and Incipio’s relationship with Masonic Homes Kentucky and Sproutlings started 10 years ago when they were engaged to lead recruiting efforts. It didn’t take Molley long to see the impact the organization was having on both aging adults and children. When presented with the opportunity to sponsor a gala for Sproutlings, her firsthand experience made it an easy “yes.”
“My motivation for supporting Sproutlings comes from the profound impact the organization has on how children understand and embrace differences. I deeply value the way Sproutlings fosters grace and respect by bringing together medically fragile and typically developing children in a shared learning environment,” Molley said. “This natural integration encourages authentic interactions, free from fear or hesitation. In doing so, Sproutlings nurtures empathy and respect—qualities that will stay with these children and shape how they engage with the world throughout their lives.”
Molley added, “From a business owner standpoint, I want to make sure Incipio partners with organizations like Sproutlings that are making a huge difference in our community.”
The annual gala is held at The Olmsted, a premiere event venue located on Masonic Homes Kentucky’s Louisville Campus. While many people have visited the campus to attend special events and weddings at The Olmsted, most are unaware of what is happening on the rest of the 82-acre community. One of Molley’s goals is to change that one gala at a time.
“I want Incipio to be a catalyst connecting our professional and personal networks with the amazing work Masonic is doing for the aging population and the littlest residents of our community. We want our attendees to have an amazing time; but more importantly we want to increase awareness of Sproutlings and raise money for a cause Incipio is deeply committed to supporting.”
Molley and a committee of volunteers spend months planning the gala, from the theme and band to the fundraising activities and special family testimonial from a Sproutlings family.
“The gala started as a masquerade and we carried that theme through for a few years while the event was getting established. Now that we are selling out tickets, we have brought some new ideas to fruition to keep the event fresh and exciting, said Molley. “This year I’m getting to bring my childhood favorite to life with a Wizard of Oz theme.”
Molley added, “To say I’m obsessed with Oz might be an understatement, so to be able to incorporate two of my passions into one event is just about perfect.”
While the fun gets the people to the event, Molley’s main focus is raising funds to support the medically fragile students and families who depend on Sproutlings. She always keeps a pulse on how the event is doing financially in between serving as hostess, hitting the dance floor and making sure everything is running smoothly.
“My favorite part of the evening is hearing the heart-felt family testimony about how Sproutlings has changed their lives,” said Molley. “When there is barely a dry eye in the room, you know you’ve deeply touched people with your message.”
